Francine's Friends Annual Breakfast Features Fashion Makeovers
Friday, October 12, 2007
This year's annual breakfast to raise funds for Francine’s Friends mobile mammography coach including something special - a fashion makeover celebrating five breast cancer survivors.
Almost 500 women attended this year's breakfast and makeover, held at the Memorial Coliseum on October 12, 2007. In partnership with Parkview Comprehensive Cancer Center and the Breast Diagnostic Center, other sponsors included PHP Foundation (the presenting sponsor), and breakfast sponsors Vera Bradley, Heritage Equipment, Emley Design Group, Punch Films, A Party Apart, and Barbara's New Beginnings.
Five breast cancer survivors received fabulous makeovers - including foundation garments by Barbara's New Beginnings, skin and make-up by L Spa Modern and Merle Norman, hair by the Corner House Salon, eyeglass fashions by Optical One North, and coordinated fashions by Jophiel. Julie Eckert Clancy, owner of Jophiel, coordinated the total makeovers, narrating the video and makeover process during the breakfast as the five special women revealed the results.
To date, Francine's Friends has raised $125,000 at its annual breakfasts, screened nearly 3,500 women, and visited 261 separate sites. To find out more or to view a current schedule of the coach, visit www.FrancinesFriends.org.
